Before completing this application form, please read the Hobart Food Trucks Guidelines to ensure that you are eligible and that you understand what the permit requires of participating food truck operators. The Guidelines are available at www.hobartcity.com.au/Community/Hobart-food-trucks
Please ensure that you answer all of the mandatory questions, which are marked with a red asterisk. You will not be able to submit your application until these questions have been answered.
Once you have begun your application, you can save, close and then re-enter your application as many times as you need to prior to submission. Please ensure that you save as you progress through the application form.
Once the form is submitted, it cannot be altered.
Before you complete your application, you must pay the associated fee and provide evidence of payment. Fees are stipulated below.
- 12-Month Permit $2,606.00 or
- 3-Month Permit $781.00
Non-Motorised, Non-Road-Registered Vehicles – for trade on footpaths, parks and reserves:
- Full-Year Permit $1,302.00, or
- 3-Month Permit $390.00
Payment can be made during business hours 8.15 am-5.15 pm Monday to Friday, either in person at the Hobart Council Centre, corner Elizabeth and Davey streets, Hobart, or by calling (03) 6238 2190.
*1% surcharge is applicable to credit card payments.
If your application is refused, you will be refunded the full fee amount, less any associated payment charges.
Hobart Food Trucks applications are open all year and an outcome will be processed within five working days.
